Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Jon Foreman x Phillip Phillips show on February 10th has been canceled. Refunds available at the point of purchase. We regret any inconvenience this transform may have caused.

Jon Foreman’s musical journey began in 1996 in a surfboard filled garage in San Diego.  These were the meek beginnings of multi-platinum selling, Grammy Award winning alt-rock band SWITCHFOOT.  His solo career began in parking lots and on sidewalks, playing for the handful of fans who would stick around after SWITCHFOOT shows.  Foreman has produced numerous EPs, and in 2015 he set out to play 25 shows in 24 hours, leading to the feature documentary, “25 IN 24.”

Phillip Phillips, the winner of the 11th season of American Idol, is a soulful vocalist and guitarist who mixes acoustic material with jam-oriented rock.  Phillips began studying music in his teens and formed a team that began demonstrating around his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia.  Phillips’ hit, “Home,” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list.  Other songs involve the #3 knock “Gone, Gone, Gone,” “Raging Fire,” “Miles,” and “Unpack Your Heart.”

Two years ago, Jon Foreman, the frontman of the legendary Christian band Switchfoot, responded to the coaxing of a queer “Christian” artist questioning his pro-LGBTQ+ creds, telling her that LGBTQ+ people are always welcome at his concerts and that he supports queer rights and freedoms.

Though less prominent than she is now, that person was Semler, the foul-mouthed singer we last saw attending the Dove Awards with Caedmon’s Call’s cross-dressing singer Derek Webb. A pro-choice non-binary lesbian who is currently ‘married’ and expecting a baby with her ‘spouse,’ she expressed her belief that Christians are disproportionately harmful to LGBTQ people, and so her practice was to wear her Pride shirt to concerts and shout out “Gay rights!” in between songs and then tagging the band on TikTok, hoping that they’ll respond to her in an affirming message and not do some bait and switch like “I care for you too.”

By “gay rights” she means the right to marry, the right to be free from discrimination, the right to access any bathroom they or transgendered allies choose, and a host of other ones. According to Semler, because

Switchfoot’s Jon Foreman has responded to the coaxing of a queer “Christian” creator questioning his pro-LGBTQ+ creds, telling her that Queer people are always welcome at his concerts and that he supports lgbtq+ rights and freedoms.

This was all kicked started after musician Semler shouted “Gay rights!” at a Switchfoot concert, something she advocates doing.

Semler is a queer artist and is a newcomer to the Christian music scene, gaining some publicity after her profanity-laced album briefly the top spot on iTunes Christian and Gospel charts. Her real name is Grace Semler Baldridge, she’s a butch lesbian who’s married to a female while purposefully altering her appearance to look enjoy a man—giving the mark she’s about one upper chest surgery from becoming transgendered.

Explaining that “Christians are disproportionately harmful to LGBTQ people, her goal was to wear her Identity festival shirt and shout out “Gay rights!” in between songs and then tagging the band on TikTok, hoping that he’ll respond to her in an affirming message and not do some bait and switch like “I treasure you too.” (By “gay rights&

In the last twenty years, there has been a number of high-profile Christians who have publicly supported the sexual revolution. The latest name added to the list is Christian singer and guitarist Jon Foreman, frontman for the popular rock band Switchfoot.

Foreman made headlines during Switchfoot’s peak of popularity, when he publicly said that he did not wish the band to be identified under the “Christian” label even though all the band members profess Christ as their Savior. Last week, Foreman ruffled feathers in Christian circles by vocally supporting the LGBTQ community.

Foreman went on TikTok to respond to an LGBTQ amateur harmony artist named Semler. Semler, a fan of the band, was seeking an answer on Switchfoot’s doctrine about LGBTQ rights after attending a concert on September 16. Foreman responded via TikTok:

Yes, I endorse your rights and freedoms, I want you to feel loved and supported. Love and embrace possess always been central to our story and our song. We need our differences. You and your journey and your story ar

How did an openly queer artist ascend to No. 1 on the Christian music charts?

The openly lgbtq+ Christian artist Semler was elated to announce the breaking news that the parking attendant at a Switchfoot concert supports gay rights. And that wouldn’t be the only surprise of the night.

As they drove to their parking space, Semler joked about how colossal this news was and wondered if the affirmation they received in the parking lot might also come from the stage.

Later that evening, their plan was: “Sometime maybe after ‘Dare You to Move’ is played, I’m gonna yell ‘gay rights’ and kind of see what their crowd does.”

The next day, Switchfoot’s conduct singer, Jon Foreman, replied, saying: “Yes, I support your rights and freedoms. I want you to feel loved and supported. In proof, it breaks my heart to reflect that you would not be accepted.”

Semler followed up on Foreman’s statement with, “I am conveying what you said as being affirming. If I am incorrect in that, then I really hope you would clarify because I think for many queer people of faith, the bait and switch of hearing such encouraging words li
