When is that gay frozen movie coming out
Elsa's sexuality hasn’t been determined yet within the Frozenfranchise, but one theory suggests that Elsa's potential love interest could lead to the confirmation that Elsa is queer in Frozen 3. Honeymaren, a member of the Northuldra tribe who was trapped in the Enchanted Forest by the curse, could return for Frozen 3 as Elsa’s girlfriend based on the two characters' shared chemistry. Ever since Frozendebuted, the LGBTQ+ community has identified with Elsa’s story arc, since her character has personal goals as a Disney princess that extend beyond finding a prince, doesn’t conform to societal norms, and goes on a journey of self-acceptance.

Why Elsa doesn't have a love story, gay or otherwise, in 'Frozen 2'
Ever since "Frozen" premiered in 2013, people in the LGBTQ community have create Queen Elsa's story to be a powerful allegory for queer identity, and hoped she might be given a gay adore interest in the coming sequel.
But Elsa doesn't acquire any type of love-related partner in the upcoming movie, despite the accepted fan theories about her sexuality.
"When we agreed to do the sequel, we agreed we were going to not build it [from] the outside in," codirector Jennifer Lee said in an interview with Insider at the Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California this past September. "We just couldn't do it."
Lee and her codirector Chris Buck, along with producer Peter Del Vecho, first started thinking about the story for "Frozen 2" about three years ago.
"What we did was spend a lot of time with each of the characters," Lee said. "I journaled as the characters, we did personality tests, just a lot of in-depth labor and looking at where they are in their lives. For us, really looking at what Elsa's journey is, it was her need to comprehend her powers."
Lee and Buck have said that two of
“I love everything people are saying [and] people are thinking about with our film ― that it’s creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful traits that speaks to so many people. It means the world to us that we’re part of these conversations.
“Where we’re going with it, we contain tons of conversations about it, and we’re really conscientious about these things. For me…Elsa’s every day telling me where she needs to go, and she’ll continue to tell us. I always write from character-out, and where Elsa is and what Elsa’s doing in her animation, she’s telling me every day. We’ll see where we go.”
That was Frozen scribe and co-director Jennifer Lee, back in February, discussing the murmurs that Elsa would become the first gay Disney Princess– following endless speculation that the movie implied that she was, indeed, a lesbian.
I revealed on last Friday’s 69th Edition of The Fanboy Podcastthat I’d heard from a couple of very reliable sources that the team behind Frozen 2 are going to pull the trigger by establishing that Elsa is gay in the sequel to the 2013 smash clap , which is currently turning heads on Broadway with a

So, how gay is Disney’s Frozen?
I’m not surprised that it’s such a colossal hit. I am a little surprised at the sustained effort of Christian fans to spin Frozen as some sort of Christian allegory (more on this in an upcoming post).
For now, though, I want to address something I noted in passing in my review: the question of gay-culture themes in Frozen.
In my review I mentioned this issue (also noted in positive reviews by other critics) largely to dismiss it as a point of concern — not that I wasn’t aware of the themes in doubt, so much as that I didn’t think they warranted getting upset over. However, a point I overlooked earlier has just been brought to my attention that I reflect does warrant mention.
First, let’s get the broad themes out on the table.
- With her ice powers, Elsa is notably different from other people. “Born this way or cursed?” asks the troll king, and her parents confirm that she was born that way.
- Nevertheless, her difference is an occasion of dread and secrecy. Misguidedly, her parents teach her to “conceal it, don’t touch it.” This repression of her true nature
