AIDS United
The National AIDS Fund (now AIDS United) was founded in 1988 to reduce the incidence and impact of HIV/AIDS by promoting governance and generating resources for effective community responses to the epidemic. Through our network of Community Partnerships and targeted Special Initiatives, AIDS United promotes collaborative local planning and provides strategic grants and technical support to more than 400 direct service organizations annually.

ALERT

Fellowships
Center for Lesbian and Same-sex attracted Studies Fellowship Award
Description: An award to be given annually for a graduate student, an academic, or an independent scholar for work on a dissertation, a first publication manuscript, or a second book manuscript. Intended to give the scholar the most help possible in furthering their work, the fellowship will be qualified to be used for research, travel, or writing support.
Eligibility: Open to intellectuals contributing to the field of LGBTQ studies
Amount: $2,000

Center for Woman loving woman And Gay Studies Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship
Description: The CLAGS Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship assists scholars and professionals whose investigate on the LGBTQ life can benefit from access to CLAGS’s resources and its location in midtown Manhattan at the CUNY Graduate Center.
Eligibility: The Fellowship Program is open to all disciplines
Open Gate Foundation for LGBTQ+ Explore Grant
The Open Gate is a nonprofit organization formed in 1987 to provide funding for activities at Harvard University that boon LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and alums. We support a wide variety of requests, all in furtherance of scholarship, understanding, or celebration, in the fields of sexual orientation and gender culture and expression.
The Unlock Gate's goals are:
- to encourage scholarship, investigate, and educational activities, including the funding of research projects and conferences
- to help student, faculty and employee groups that further a climate of open discussion on LGBTQ+ issues
- to recognize contributions through awards, memorials, cultural events, and related activities
- to promote broader understanding and discourse on campus by funding the invitation of outside speakers, performers, and panels
While we examine any and all requests, here are some guidelines to consider:
$100 to $1,500 for:
- Undergraduate research expenses
- Student groups, both for their operating expenses and special projects
- Performances, generally by students or nonprofessionals affiliate
