K-pop singer Sunmi has clarified her comments about her sexual identity and the LBGT community after fans idea she had come out while performing in Amsterdam.

The 27-year-old brought her Warning Tour to Amsterdam on Tuesday night and took a moment to talk to the audience about the ‘different sides’ of her character while giving a shout-out to her LBGT supporters.

In video clips taken by concert-goers, Sunmi says: ‘I have many different sides of me like dorky and LGBT,’ which prompted screams and cheers from the audience.

The singer added: ‘There are sides of me that I know very successfully, like, just like the one I just said. And there are times when I don’t understand myself.’

One fan shared the video with the caption: ‘Sunmi came out today,’ alongside the LBGT rainbow flag.

But it seems fans were mistaken as Sunmi later laughed off the assumption that she had come out about her sexuality.

The K-pop star tweeted after the show: ‘Haha I was saying “I have so many diverse sides of me enjoy dorky and LGBT queen…” Yeah, I support LGBT but don’t get me wrong guys.’
