Greetings, Gentle Readers!
Normally, on a Friday, we would take you a Sex & Dating themed post. We’re not doing that today because, to be frank, we don’t have one.
When Kate and I first talked about starting this website, we were delighted about the idea of featuring lots of stories from lots of distinct people. We wanted our readers to be competent to dive vicariously into other people’s lives; to learn a bit about people they might not otherwise meet, and to learn a bit about themselves in the process.
Representation is important to us. We really want to showcase people from across the queer spectrum. We want gay writers, fluid writers, asexual writers, gender non-conforming writers. We want to hear from queer people of colour, queer people with disabilities, queer people of all ages. We’d also love to overhear from non-queer people about the relationships they possess with the queer people in their lives.

My first gay kiss! Painting
I have sold 12 originals to date, these have been international sales and over 100 prints via Saatchi art and other outlets. My most recent sale was of "The Victorian Gay Scene. This was sold to a collector in Modern York, USA. I am a 56-year-old gay male from a working-class background, living in Greater Birmingham, UK. I began creating by writing books and screenplays. I turned to painting in 2013 when a 9 year partnership ended. My evenings became lonely so I painted to fill an bare space. I suffer with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression and Anxiety, I am also Dyslexic. My disabilities give me the ability to visualize complex images. I paint what I feel about what I see rather than merely what I see. I am telling stories with my paintings. It is for the observer to decide what the story is. It may be different things to unlike people. It was recently put to me by the buyer of my artwork, The Price of Sugar, that I often (not always) deal with emotive and hard-hitting issues with a touch of humor. I think he is right.
