The 54-year-old estate agent from Wales was hailed as an icon after appearing on the hit BBC series back in November last year.

Quickly proving she had what it takes to be a traitor, Amanda became favourite to achieve the show. Looking unstoppable as she 'murdered' her fellow contestants, thus banishing them from the show, she was the queen of lies, deceit and trickery.

WHEN she applied for the first series of The Traitors, Amanda Lovett never imagined she’d be a star.

The 54-year-old self-styled Welsh “dragon” even went back to her job as an estate agent at first.

But, from the moment Amanda became one of the Traitors in the BBC show, fans loved her - thanks to her devious gameplay yet cheerful and amiable accent.

And although she didn’t manage to make it to the end of the series, thanks to fellow Traitor Wilfred Webster turning on her so close to the final, she’s had the last laugh.

In May last year, she hosted an episode of BBC Radio 4 present, Woman’s Hour, titled Why We Lie.

More recently, she even bagged a presenting role on Homes Under The Hammer, which she said was a “dream come true” - and she’s good and truly quit her day career now.

“I don't ponder any of us expected The Traitors to be as big as it was,” Amanda says in an exclusive interview. “We all hoped that the public would fancy it but it was just phenomenal, the way it blew up over the Christmas and New Year.

The Traitors’ Amanda has opened up about Wilfred’s betrayal in last night’s episode and the love she’s received after appearing on the show.

It was another intense episode of The Traitors last night (20th December), which saw Amanda being thrown to the wolves by her fellow Traitor, Wilfred. In the end she was banished by the group, which was a huge blow for fans who had been rooting for her to win.

Speaking exclusively to Virginradio.co.uk, Amanda opened up about how she felt regarding Wilfred’s shocking betrayal.

She said: “It hurt at the second, obviously, because we were so involved in the game, but it is a game at the end of the afternoon. I wouldn't have done it to him and that's why I deflected all the time when people mentioned his name.”

Amanda continued: “I mean, that was his game arrange, but I just desire everybody to give him love as well because at the end of the day, we've made good TV. If we hadn't been ruthless as Traitors, would it contain been good to watch? No.
