What episode does mariah come out as gay
As last night’s episode of the punch TLC reality series Sister Wives started to wind down, one of the stars, daughter Mariah Brown, came out as a lesbian when she told her moms and father that she had an important announcement to make. Brown called a family meeting, and after a few tense moments where she said “You guys are freaking out, which is making me freak out,” she came out by saying “I’m gay.”
Sister Wives is a reality reveal that has been airing since 2010 about a Fundamentalist Mormon man who is married to four wives, in keeping with the tradition of polygamy. While the family does have a lot of “traditional” beliefs and “strong family values” they have been recognizable to support marriage equality in the past, saying that all people should be free to live their lives however they want.
Coming out to your parents is often a really difficult thing, and I can’t even dream what it would be like to come out to five parents, but Mariah showed plenty of courage and strength when she told her reality to her entire family not knowing how they’d react. Because the episode ended right after the announcement, we don&
It’s time once again to see all the enjoyable that having multiple being partners can bring! Yes, kids, it’s time for another episode of Sister Wives. Yet again, TLC has managed to stretch about an hour of unused footage into a two-hour episode (Counting On-style), which means we’ll have plenty of old, played-out footage mixed in with the new stuff.
Anyway, we grab up where we left off last week. As you may recall, Mariah shocked all of the parents when she announced that she, like her father Kody, likes the ladies.
While the parents are shocked, they are doing their best to be supportive of Mariah (and her overdrawn eyebrows). Everyone has thoughtful comments and then Kody comes in with, “Did you contain a lot of crushes on girls though? A lot?” followed by a few other semi-insensitive remarks.
Janelle just shoots her husband a look, and you can tell she’s mentally trying to crunch the numbers and figure out how much it would cost to leave this nitwit and move out of the Brown family’s Cul de Sac of Broken Dreams.
Mariah tells us that Robyn is the first person she ever met that said it was okay to be homosexual. (Who would have mind that Robyn would be the mo
Mariah Brown, the 21-year-old daughter of Kody and Meri Brown on “Sister Wives,” came out as a lesbian on the present on Sunday.
“I’m gay,” she said to her family.
Her father, Kody, said of the announcement, “We’re not happy Mariah’s gay; we’re happy Mariah knows herself.”
The family practices Fundamentalist Mormonism, which does not accept of homosexuality. However, the Browns have said in the past in a HuffPost Live interview that everyone should be proficient “structure” their family “in any way they want,” whether they are homosexual or straight.
Ironically, Mariah’s mother, Meri, learned in the fall that she was in an online association with a woman posing as a man.
Mariah seems happy with the general announcement. She tweeted, “wow okay y’all making me cry with your aid. thank you thank you thank you thank you.”
